St. Patricks Day Parade
This past Saturday we went to our town's St. Patricks Day parade! We met some of our friends there and all of the kids had a great time!! They had a little parade and then they had booths with face painting and people making balloon animals and craft booths with things you could buy. They also had a band and the kids had lots of fun dancing!

Houston Rodeo
Last week we went to the Houston Rodeo. Brady had such a good time! He rode a few rides and played a few games. We also saw some cows, sheep and pigs! I wish I would have taken some more pics! I didn't even get a pic of Willa Kate in her cute outfit!!

Brady's 3rd Birthday party
Brady is a little obsessed with dinosaurs so he has been requesting a dinosaur party for a long time! It took me a while to decide where his party location was going to be, but I finally just decided to have it at Pump it up (inflatable party place). All of the kids had a blast and everything turned out perfect!

WHAT. A. DAY.
Yesterday definitely didn't go as I had planned! It was one heck of a day! I had planned on going to a Kindermusik playdate, it was the Dino Romp one and I knew Brady would love it so I signed us up. The playdate is different from our normal Kindermusik class. Our class is every Wednesday, but on some Fridays they have playdates for those who can't commit to come every week or they might be on the waiting list to join a class or they could possibly just want to try Kindermusik out to see if they would want to sign up for a whole semester. The playdate is only 45 minutes long, so for the rest of the day I just planned on washing clothes and cleaning the house a little. Well, that is not how our day went AT ALL!! Here is a little past history about Brady and his asthma, he had his first breathing treatment at less than a year old and we ended up just buying a nebulizer because it wasn't much more than renting one! Little did we know this would be the best investment EVER! Since then he has had MANY breathing treatments and also has 2 inhalers he uses. He has had several asthma attacks where he coughs and gags and usually ends up throwing up and also ones where he has VERY rapid breathing and wheezing really bad. The coughing ones we can maintain at home without a visit to the Dr., but the rapid breathing ones we have never been able to maintain and have to go to the Dr. but they have always been able to get them under control. Well, Thursday night late Brady woke up coughing really bad so I ran upstairs and gave him his inhaler and ended up bringing him downstairs to sleep with me since Wilse was out of town. He ended up waking up once more coughing and I gave him another puff of his inhaler. Well, at about 3:30am I noticed his breathing was very fast and he was wheezing really bad, so I got his nebulizer and I gave him a breathing treatment while he was sleeping. It helped so I went back to sleep. Then he woke up at 5:30 begging for a breathing treatment, so we did another one and it helped a little and we ended up doing another one at 7:30 and it didn't do much. At 8 I called the Doctor's office to see if we could get in ASAP but the first available appointment was at 9:40. I told them that Brady's breathing was bad and I had somewhere we needed to be at 10 (Kindermusik) could I come in and try to get worked in sooner. They said sure, so we got to the Doctor's office at about 8:40. We had to do a puff of the inhaler in the parking lot because he started coughing really bad. They ended up calling us back within 5 minutes. Oh, and his pediatrician was out of town, so we had to see someone else. The Dr. listened to him and said yeah he needs a breathing treatment and some steroids. She also looked in his ears and the poor baby had a double ear infection!! She gave him the steroids and started the breathing treatment and she said if he doesn't get any better she would have to send us to the ER. Well, our pediatrician says that also when we have gone in for the same thing, but the meds have always worked. Well, about half way through the treatment he wasn't getting any better, I knew we were going to have to head to the ER! And of course I start crying! Not only do we not have any family close, but Wilse was out of town and my baby was VERY lethargic because of the rapid breathing and he keeps saying help me mamma because he can't breathe! Every time he would say help me mamma, I would just lose it, because there was nothing I could do! After the treatment was finished she sent us to the ER at Texas Children's hospital and she called ahead to notify them that we were on our way! Brady ended up falling asleep on the way! It is only like 15 minutes from our pediatrician's office. When we got to the ER, they called us back within 2 minutes and we saw the doctor within 10 minutes. So after 4 breathing treatments and another dose of steriods, Brady finally stopped wheezing and his breathing wasn't as bad as before but it was still faster than normal. The doctor then ordered a x-ray to rule out pneumonia. Thank goodness he doesn't have pneumonia! They gave us some steroids and an antibiotic for his ear infection and he is having to use his inhaler (6 puffs every 3 hours for 24 hours and then 4 puffs every 4 hours for 24 hours and then 4 puffs as needed)!! 6 puffs every 3 hours is A LOT of medicine!! After 5 hours at the ER we were headed to walmart to get his prescriptions filled and they took 2 hours!!! I was furious!! While we were waiting we had lunch (it was 3:30) at the McDonalds in Walmart and he proceeds to announce in line to this man that his daddy was on a work trip!! I about died! He was also grabbing everyone's cart who passed by! He was driving me CRAZY!! With all of the medications Brady had yesterday (2 doses of steroids, 8 breathing treatments, probably about 20 puffs of his inhaler) he was CLIMBING UP THE WALLS!! That medicine makes him WILD!!! Well, he is already wild but this is a different kind of wild! You can just look in his eyes and tell that he is on something! He has also been talking crazy! LOL I will be so glad when he is done taking all of this medicine!! It is only noon and I think I have told him to calm down a million times already! Bless Willa Kate's heart, she was such a trooper yesterday!! The Doctor couldn't believe how good she was sitting in the ER for 5 hours! Needless to say we all slept well, except that I had to wake up every 3 hours to give him his inhaler, but he slept through it all! Thank goodness! I am so glad yesterday is over! You would have thought it was Friday the 13th!

My little birdie is ONE!!
I can't believe my baby girl is one!! She weighs 22 lbs. (60%) and is 30.5 inches long (80%). She is a super happy baby and she is so sweet! She says momma, dada, thank you, got it and hey! I switched her to whole milk 2 weeks ago and also took away the bottle then and she did great! She eats like a champ and loves EVERYTHING we give her! She isn't walking yet but it won't be long!
