6 months old

Willa Kate is 6 months old!! She is getting so big! We had her 6 month check up today and she weighed 16 lbs. (56%) and is 27 inches long (89%). She is just precious!! I could just eat her up!

She is starting to sit up by herself and she looks like such a big girl!! She doesn't have any teeth yet, but I don't think it will be long until she gets her first one!

Willa Kate is one messy girl!! She LOVES to suck on her fingers, that is how she soothes herself to sleep. But she also LOVES to suck on her fingers when she eats her oatmeal and rice cereal!! As soon as I start to her mouth with a spoon, she starts moving her hands toward her mouth!! It drives me NUTS, but she is just too cute sucking on her fingers!!

This is how Willa Kate puts herself to sleep!! It is too cute!! Every time she takes a nap or goes to sleep she covers one eye with one hand and then puts her other hand backyards in her mouth and sucks her three fingers!!!

ANTS!!

About a month ago we were outside playing and Brady came running to me and said he stepped on a sticker. Well, I looked at his foot and didn't see anything, so I told him I got it off! Brady goes back to playing with his lawn mower and just stops in this one place and just stands there for a while and then starts screaming "ants, ants, ants!" So I immediately run over and grab him up and start getting the ants off of his legs. We went inside and about an hour later, I took this pic of his foot and emailed it to my mom and Kasey! He had over 50 ant bites and they looked horrible!! Our pest control service really sucks!! Too bad we signed a year contract :(

All about Brady!

Things about Brady:

• He has such a cute personality!
• He is a people person! He never meets a stranger! He always talks to everybody when we go places!! When we are at a restaurant he always gets the attention of people sitting beside us and starts talking to them and then when they leave you see him scoping out another table of people close by to start talking too!!
• He has a huge imagination!
• He is the size of his 4 year old cousin and our 6 year old neighbor! He is a very BIG boy!! He weighs about 40 lbs. and is about 39-40 inches tall!!
• He wears a 4t and I am buying mostly 5t for this fall. He wears a size 11-12 shoe!!
• He sleeps in his toddler bed. He plays for a while in it and then goes to sleep. He sleeps with lots of stuffed animals: 2 ugly dolls, a little miniature schnauzer, a little giraffe, a penguin, a monkey, a huge alligator, a frog pillow pet and a big My Blankee and a small little giraffe blanket.
• He loves his little sister and loves to play with her!
• Loves to sing and dance!
• Loves to play outside!
• He loves dinosaurs, tractors, trains, and Cars die-cast cars.
• He says "Wuv you mommy" and it just melts my heart!!
• He has mostly outgrown his temper tantrums, that is as long as he has had a nap.
• He is starting a Mother's Day Out program 1 day a week this fall! I teared up when I called and asked if they had a spot open! We go tour it next week. Then in January he will start a 2 day preschool.
• He will be 2 and 1/2 tomorrow!!

I know there are many more things I am forgetting!! He is just so lovable and the cutest little boy ever!!

Moody Gardens and Rainforest Cafe

My child is obsessed with Moody Gardens and the Rainforest Cafe. Seriously though, he asks to go to them EVERYDAY!! We have a Rainforest Cafe 10 minutes from the house, so we have been at least 10 times already in the 2 months we have lived here!! Also we have been to Moody Gardens in Galveston 3 times, we became members on the very first visit, so we are definitely taking advantage of that!! This weekend is the last weekend of their Dinosaurs Alive exhibit and I think we may have to go. Brady LOVES dinosaurs and likes to act like them!! We are working on not roaring at random people :)

Willa Kate at 5 months old

This post is almost a month late!! I will be doing her 6 month post in 10 days!! Anyway, Willa Kate is such a happy little girl and she is as tough as nails. She has to be with a big brother like Brady!! She started eating rice cereal and she has finally started to like it!! I am excited to start making her baby food this next month!!

Funny story about the rice cereal. The first night she ate her rice cereal, Brady was really interested and kept wanting to try it! So, after him whining to have some, I finally let him try it!! He took a bite and started gaging and then purged it up!! After I cleaned it up I asked him if it was good and he said, "Mmmmm good, yum yum". Oh, that child is something else, I tell you!!

M.I.A.

I have been M.I.A. for a while!! Man, it has been a long time since I have posted!! I started my baby must haves post a few weeks ago (I finally posted it tonight!!) and then we lost our internet and TV!! We got some new neighbors and AT&T U-Verse cut our line while installing theirs!! After we got that fixed, our whole neighborhood lost service because some main box quit working!! I have been lost without TV and internet these last few weeks!!

We have been really busy lately!! July 4th weekend Wilse's parents and brother were in town visiting and we went to Galveston. Then a week and a half after that my mom came to town for a visit and we went to Galveston and went to Moody Gardens. We ended up getting season tickets to Moody Gardens and ended up going 3 weekends in a row so far!! Brady LOVES it and asks to go everyday, he calls it "Booty Gardens"!! LOL

Last weekend I turned 29!! My last year in my 20's!! It doesn't seem like I should be this old!! I still feel like I should 21!! Also my best friend came and visited this past week!! We had such a great time hanging out and shopping!!

I will be posting lots of pictures in the next few days of all of our happenings!!

A few baby must haves

I thought I would make a list of a few of my favorite baby items that I couldn't live without!! Here are a list of my baby must haves!!

1. This Lorex video baby monitor is FABULOUS!! We bought an extra camera for Willa Kate so I can watch both of them at night!!

2. This Fisher price little lamp swing has been our saving grace!! Both of our kids have LOVED this swing!! It has been such a great one!!

3. Britax makes the BEST car seats!! We have the Britax Boulevard 65 CS for Willa Kate and the Fronteir 85 for Brady! And of course we have the Camooflage print!! sooooo cute!

4. The Bumbleride flyer stroller is great!! I researched strollers forever before I decided to purchase this one! I don't use it much anymore because I have to have a double stroller most of the time :) So now we have a BOB Revolution SE stroller and it pushes like a DREAM! If you like to walk on a daily basis or even run a Bob is a must!

5. A swaddle was a must for us with Willa Kate! We didn't use one with Brady, but I wish we would have!! She has slept like an angel since day 1!! We did have to ween her from it when she started to outgrow it, but it went much better than I thought!!

6. A My Blankee!!! Kasey my SIL gave Brady and Willa Kate a My Blankee blanket! They are so soft and they love them!!

7. I love Aiden + Anais!!!! We have the issie blankie, the swaddle blankets and the dream blanket!! They are definitely a must!!
