My Best Friend's Wedding Shower

When I was back in Mississippi I got to throw a wedding shower with my mom and Ashley for my best friend!! She is getting married on October 17 on the beach in Fort Morgan, AL. We had a wonderful time at the shower and she got lots of good stuff!! We also went wedding dress shopping when I was in town and she found the perfect dress!!! I love it!! She is going to be such a beautiful bride!!! Me and Brady can't wait to make the trip to the beach in October!!

7 months old

Updated!

Brady now has 3 teeth!!!!

WOW!! Has it really been 7 months?!?!?! It is flying by too quickly!! He is so much fun!! He has the cutest smile and those dimples, well I could just eat him up!!! I think everyday that he can't get any cuter and then I wake up to him pulling my hair or his squealing and he is even cuter than the day before!!! I am so blessed to have a beautiful healthy baby boy full of personality!!!!

Some new things are:

• He has 3 teeth!!!
• He loves everybody
• babbling like crazy
• fake laughs
• fake coughs
• puts on shows to get peoples attention (like squealing and laughing)
• Loves every food I give him (green beans, peas, carrots, sweat potatoes, pears, peaches, bananas, applesauce, and squash)
• saying mamamama and babababa
• trying to crawl

When he starts showing out he will close his eyes and start laughing and crinkling his nose!! It is so cute!!

New Carseat

2 weeks ago Brady got a new carseat. I wanted to get him a new one before we headed to Mississippi. He was getting too big for his infant carseat, so I went ahead and got him one that he can use now (rear facing) and later (forward facing up to 65 lbs.) I love love love it!! It is a Britax Boulevard in Cowmooflage. It is definitely a winner!! He slept great to Mississippi and then back home!! Here is a pic of Brady in it right when I got it out of the box!!

Tutu

Last Friday a friend called me and wanted to make her little girl a tutu. She said she would come over about 1 or 1:30. She said she had all of the stuff to make it and she needed to have it done by 2:45 because she wanted her to wear it to the high schools pep rally. Well if you have ever made one of these it takes a little while to make one!! Well she ended up getting to my house a little before 2, so we hurried up and cut and measured and started making the tutu!! Well we ended up completing it in about 45 minutes with just enough time for her to get to the pep rally!!! Here is a picture of Chesney in her tutu!!

Making Baby Food

My sweet baby has started eating baby food!!! As of right now he has eaten green beans and peas and he is loving them!!! I am going to make his baby food starting next weekend!! I am so excited!! I just went and bought 2 books on how to make it! I am going to make it every 2 weeks and freeze it! I love to cook and I think this will be something fun to do!! Once we get past all the trying each one individual to make sure he isn't allergic to any of them, I will post some of the recipes for the mixed baby food!! Here are some pics from this past week!!

Destin Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation last week in Destin. We headed down there on Saturday and arrived late afternoon. My parents vacationed with us and they were already at the beach house when we got there. We spent a total of 4 days at the beach, 1 day we drove down 30-A and went to Seaside and then drove to Panama City Beach and 1 day we went to the outlet mall. We ate some really good seafood while we were there!!! I would have to say the best place was The Crab Trap. Brady did really good except at night when I would try and get him to sleep!! We ended up having to go to the Bass Pro Shop and get one of those folding rocking chairs. He maybe got a total of 2 hours of nap a day!!! He was afraid he was going to miss something but as soon as you put him in his stroller and started walking he was out!!!! He was such a trooper with all that running around we did!!! Next year I think we might take a cruise or fly to somewhere in the caribbean!!!

Playdate

I hosted a playdate yesterday for my meetup group for 2 and under. It was a small crowd but we all had a great time!! There were a total of 5 moms and 5 kids. For lunch we had crescent roll sandwiches with all the fixings, homemade guacamole, a wide variety of chips, fruit with fruit dip, chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, rainbow cake, and a cookie pizza that one of the other moms brought and for the 2 years olds I had a chicken nugget tray from chick-fil-a. It was so much fun!! I can't wait until the next one!! Tomorrow we are going to a pancake pajama party!!

6 month stats

Today we had Brady's 6 month check up. He weighs 18 lbs. (50th percentile) and is 28 inches long (90th percentile). He had 3 shots today and he only cried for like 10 seconds!!! Much better than last time!!!!! Here is a pic of my sweet boy chillin at the beach in his baby tent!

6 months old

This past week Brady turned 6 months old!!! I can't believe that my baby is a half year old!!!! He has been saying ma ma when he gets mad or upset but not repeatedly. Now he says it all the time!! It just melts my heart!!!! Here is a pic of my sweet boy at the beach!!

Show us your life-Wedding Reception and Honeymoon

Kelly's Korner is hosting a Show Us Your Life blog carnival. This week is wedding reception but I am including everything since I didn't participate the last 2 weeks.We had a very small wedding of about 50 close friends and family in Seaside, Florida on August 6, 2005. Seaside is a picture perfect town! Many stores come there and have a photoshoot for their summer catalogs! Also, "The Truman Show" was filmed in Seaside!! I was suppose to get married on the beach but the forecast showed rain so we had to move it to the Seaside Pavilion overlooking the beach. The morning of the wedding there were severe thunderstorms and it was not looking like it was going to be a beautiful day! Around 2 pm the rain stopped and the sun came out and at 6 pm it was not only beautiful outside but it had also cooled off!! Our Reception was on the croquet lawn in Seaside and Criolla's catered. It was sooooo yummy!! Wilse and I reminisce a lot about our wedding and how perfect it was!!

We took a 7 night eastern caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. It was really nice. It was my 2nd cruise but Wilse's first. Our ports of call were St. Thomas(USVI) Nassau(Bahamas) and St. Martin/St. Maarten (French/Dutch sides). Instead of exploring St. Martin/St. Maarten we opted to take a yacht to St. Barths, French West Indies!! It was fabulous!! They had all of the high end designer stores and also Le Select is there and that is where Jimmy Buffet wrote his song "Cheeseburger in Paradise", so we ate a cheeseburger there!!! Also I bought a Louis Vuitton purse there too!!
